Joe Pesci, however, is the star of this film, delivering a character who is every bit as dangerous and manipulative as the mobster he plays in Goodfellas. This is a movie about the corruption and insanity of organized crime and Vegas culture, and it is a compelling watch. It may not be as good as the likes of Taxi Driver and Raging Bull, but it is still an outstanding achievement by Martin Scorsese.
